What’s Included

Each flag comes with a piece of sample fabric for you to conduct tests on how difficult it is to burn. Show your fellow patriots that your Firebrand Flag really doesn't burn!

Proper Care to Keep Your Firebrand Flag Fresh

We recommend limiting exposure to direct sunlight for long periods of time to keep your flag in the best possible condition. We use traditional methods to create our flag, emulating the original Old Glory. Because of the flame resistant treatment process the treated white fabric will have the effect of "aging" if displayed in full, direct sunlight. The clean white look will fade to an aged paper color when exposed to direct sunlight. For some, this is a desired look to resemble a distinctive battle-tested, vintage sheen.

Guidelines for Display of the Flag - Via Federal Flag Code

When the U.S. flag is displayed from a staff, the union (blue section) should be at the top and the highest point. - In a group of flags displayed from staffs, the U.S. flag should be at the center and the highest point. - When the U.S. flag is displayed other than from a staff, it should be displayed flat, or suspended so that its folds fall free. When displayed over a street, place the union so it faces north or east, depending upon the direction of the street. - When the U.S. flag is displayed from a building, the union of the flag should be placed at the peak of the flag staff, unless at half-staff. When suspended from a rope extending from the building on a pole, the flag should be hoisted out, union first from the building. - When flags of states, cities or organizations are flown on the same staff, the U.S. flag must be at the top (except during church services conducted at sea by Navy chaplains).

Proper Disposal Techniques

Since Firebrand Flags don't burn, we recommend these disposal techniques if your flag becomes damaged.

Flag Burial

The proper way to bury your flag is to fold it and place it in a dignified box. Then bury the flag, saying a few words if you wish – we recommend the Pledge of Allegiance.

Flag Donation

Donate to your local chapter of the American Legion, VFW, the Boy or Girl Scouts. Each of these government organizations will conduct a ceremony to properly dispose of the flag, free of charge.

Freedom Fears No Fire - Firebrand Flag Company

Throughout our history, the American Flag has withstood destruction from every threat, both foreign and domestic. The United States Flag Code states: "The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing." At Firebrand Flags, we vow to protect our country and flag just as our military and first responders do every day. As veterans and patriots, we value the American spirit, the sacrifices of those who have gone before us and the pride we feel every time the American flag flies high. That's why the Firebrand Flag Company set out to create the first and only official flag that is as tough as the people sworn to defend it. Each Firebrand Flag incorporates that same fire-retardant, Kevlar fabric that keeps our service members and first responders safe. Our flags maintain strict adherence to height, width, and color specifications. To ensure our flags can never burn, we reinvented the manufacturing process right here in the U.S. so that you can rest assured that our Firebrand Flags will always stand for the values we hold dear.

Kyle Daniels - Founder

Kyle Daniels is a former U.S. Army Green Beret who served on multiple combat deployments with the 10th Special Forces Group. Upon returning home, he was struck by the disrespect shown to the American flag and vowed to protect it, just as his brothers and sisters in arms had done overseas. Kyle started Firebrand based off of the word's definition, "a person who is passionate about a particular cause, typically inciting change and taking radical action." Today, Firebrand Flags continues to change the narrative as the first and only US-based company to make an official, fire-retardant U.S. Flag. Every flag sold benefits a non-profit organization that supports our veterans and first responders! "I fought for the flag and I sleep proudly underneath it every night." - Kyle Daniels

Made In The USA By Skilled, Patriotic Craftsmen

Every Firebrand Flag is proudly handmade by fellow patriots at Colonial Flags in Utah. The classic flag is hand stitched with the same flame-resistant material found in firefighters' gear and military uniforms that ensures it never burns. The hand stitched appliquéd stars are a historic method of flag-making, adding a unique and authentic touch that sets this flag apart from modern embroidered versions. As a handmade product, supplies can be limited so Firebrand flags also offers a polyester flag treated with special fire retardant material. This flag marries traditional craftsmanship to modern practicality and provides a more durable option for outdoor display in direct sunlight. Below are images of our talented craftsmen and the process to create your Firebrand Flags.
