What the Hell Is A Firebrand Flag?

A Firebrand is “a person who is passionate about a particular cause, typically inciting change and taking radical action.” This perfectly describes our owner and founder, Green Beret veteran Kyle Daniels. Between the years of 2016 and 2020, he witnessed protests fueled by heightened political and social tensions in which U.S. flags went up in smoke. Seeing people dishonor and disrespect the Stars and Stripes in such a way motivated him into radical action.

"That flag means so much more to me now after seeing the sacrifice of my brothers and sisters in arms made to defend what it represents.” Daniels said. “So, instead of sitting back and griping and moaning about people burning flags, I decided to take action and make a change.  I knew there had to be a way to produce a flag that could defend itself when nobody was around to defend it.”

Thus, in 2020 Daniels founded Firebrand Flags. Each Firebrand Flag is a symbol of resilience, crafted from the same fire-retardant Kevlar and Nomex fibers trusted to protect our military and first responders. This fabric, renowned for its unparalleled strength and flame resistance, ensures that each Firebrand Flag can defend itself from fire.

Creating a flag that looked, felt, and flew like a traditional flag, but resisted burning, posed significant challenges in the beginning. As a result, Firebrand Flags’ commitment to quality and safety required a complete overhaul of our manufacturing process, including the acquisition of new cutting-edge machines and the largest fabric purchase of its kind, outside of the U.S. military. Every detail of our flags—from their precise dimensions to their vibrant colors—is meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of aesthetics and performance.

Every stitch of the Firebrand Flag is 100% made in the USA, and specifically each star on our original, Classic Old Glory and our D-Day memorial flags is hand-sewn by dedicated American patriots.
